2015 Prominent Businessperson

The chairman and chief executive officer of Sacyr, Manuel Manrique, was distinguished yesterday as "2015 Prominent Businessperson" by the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Chile, during the annual dinner of the institution in Santiago de Chile.

The decision, taken unanimously by the Directors of the Chamber, recognizes his outstanding business and professional trajectory and his contributions to improve business relations between Chile and Spain.

During the event, which was attended by almost 500 guests including celebrities from the political, business and social worlds in the country, Manrique thanked the award and highlighted that Sacyr maintains the firm commitment to being a reference in Chile: "We will contribute and support the plans that the Government considers appropriate for the sustainable development of infrastructures and of other sectors such as hospital management, infrastructure maintenance, desalination, comprehensive building management, waste management, among others", he added.

Sacyr Chile is the leading private construction and concessions investor in the country, having executed projects totaling 2,600 million Euros over the 20 years it has been present in the country. Today it has a future income portfolio of 3,000 million Euros and 2,200 employees in Chile.
