Sacyr will carry out the conservation and maintenance of the AP-1 for 29 million euros

The 14 km section includes the tunnels of Luko and Isuskitza

Sacyr Maintenance has been awarded, along with Yarritu and Grupo Villar, the maintenance and upkeep of the AP-1 highway in its Álava section for 8 years for an amount of 29 million euros. 

The contract, awarded by Arabat, a subsidiary of the Álava regional government, includes the operation of tolls, maintenance and upkeep of the infrastructure, road monitoring, signage and access management, among other actions.

Furthermore, Sacyr will carry out the energy efficiency improvement in the lighting system of the highway and its tunnels and will automate the tolls with the installation of 8 cash collection ways.

The 14-kilometer stretch runs between Vitoria-Gasteiz Airport to the boundary of the province at kilometer 114.2, and includes the tunnels of Luko and Isuskitza, the Luko, Etxabarri link tolls and its beaches.
