Provías has awarded the Vial Rutas del Cusco 2 Consortium, made up of the Sacyr’s subsidiaries, Saopse and Sacyr Maintenance Services, the management and maintenance of the 324 km road corridor linking the city of Cusco and the town of Echarate (Peru), for approximately 9 million euros (33 million Soles) and a period of 3 years. The routine maintenance works will enable a more efficient and safer transit in the area.
The works and maintenance activities that will be carried will mostly consist, among others, of: the cleaning of roads, bridges, ditches and sewers, patching of the pavement, repair and replacement of road signs, guardrails and maintenance of pavement markings.
Thanks to this new contract, Sacyr achieves an important participation in the Peruvian road maintenance market, maintaining close to 1,000 km of roads for around 26.3 million euros (100 million Soles) over the next three years.
These projects reinforce the group's commitment to the development and maintenance of the country's road infrastructures, contributing their experience accompanied by the implementation of new techniques and processes for better and efficient maintenance of the infrastructure resulting in care for the environment.

Today, Sacyr has more than 2,000 employees in Peru, providing value and experience in the 16 contracts being developed, among which it includes the construction of the Callao Headquarters-San Marcos Stadium and the Villa María del Triunfo Headquarters of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games and Parapan American Games, and the construction, operation and maintenance of the concession of the Longitudinal Stretch II of the Sierra.
