Sacyr Maintenance will be responsible for maintenance and upkeep in the ZA-04 sector (Zamora) for the General Directorate of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works, for a price of €15.3 million over three years, with the possibility of extending for another two years.
The ZA-04 sector contains highways A-52 and N-525 within its territory in the province of Zamora. The A-52 “Rías Baixas Highway” is the main highway for entering the southern provinces of Galicia from the central Meseta and ends in Vigo. The Padornelo Tunnel is located at kilometer point 99 on this highway, at an altitude in this section of 1,381 m, which makes it the highest-altitude high-volume road in Spain.
