The Sibiu Pro Rov is manufactured and commercialized by Spanish start-up Nido Robotics. Even though its principal mission is to examine the underwater installations of our water purifiers, it also watches and helps preserve the natural environments in which we use it (rivers, seas, water reservoirs, etc.).
We perform environmental, characterization, and species protection studies with the assistance of our underwater drone.
Sacyr Agua’s R+D+i team collaborates closely with the Sea Sciences and Applied Biology Department of the University of Alicante to perform these tasks.
Sacyr Agua has equipped the drone with Envirosense, a system of sounding lines for environmental analysis to measure the water pH levels, temperature, turbidity, or chlorophyll, among other parameters. Furthermore, it also has a sample collection system.
