Our colleague from Sacyr Services had an accident years ago that caused him to lose his left leg. However, as he defines it, “it’s but a stop in your life”. Apart from working at Sacyr Services he plays wheelchair basketball and handball.
He plays for the Spanish national wheelchair handball team, that recently won the Bronze medal at the EURO Hand 4 All and is looking forward to the Wheelchair Handball World Championship, that will begin in Portugal next November 15. As for basketball, he’s been playing for several years in the wheelchair basketball first division for the Club Deportivo Villa de Leganés.
Aside from his passion for sports, Miguel also makes a social impact as the chairman of the Asociación AMIVAL, that works for the development and the emotional, physical, and psychological attention of children with disabilities. Check out their website to learn more about their work.
