Many industrial effluents, contaminated by metals, such as acid drainage from mining and other industries (metallurgy, metal plating, fuel, energy, fertilizer, etc.) can be treated with biowaste from animals and plants. It is incredible how nature devises sustainable solutions to regenerate itself.
Proper management of the biodegradable waste we generate at home is very important to the environment. Recycling it, through composting or selective collection methods, helps contribute to the circular economy.
The microbiota is the set of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, etc.) that live in a particular environment. Our digestive system benefits from its presence, as these microorganisms produce energy and vitamins and help absorb calcium and iron.
