Sacyr Concessions, number one company in the road sector in Mexico according to the IDM Journal

Mexico City, February 18, 2019.- Sacyr Concessions Mexico named the number one company in the road sector in the country in 2018, according to the IDM journal in its 50 most important Infrastructure Firms in Mexico Special Edition.

This recognition comes on the back of Sacyr’s work on the Pirámides-Tulancingo-Pachuca project, whose client is the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT).

The road sector in Mexico is one of the most relevant in terms of investment, since billions of pesos are invested each year in order to improve and increase connectivity between the different regions of the country.

The journal Infrastructure and Development of Mexico (IDM) performs a journalistic study and analyzes projects of construction companies carried out during June 2017 and July 2018. This ranking is made up of 300 companies overall, 50 for each sector: Road, Energy, Hydraulic, Logistic, Health and States and Municipalities.

Human capital

Sacyr has stood out in its first public-private partnership in the road infrastructure sector in Mexico thanks to its great financial capacity, extraordinary human capital, as well as the use of new technologies.

In this sense, it is worth noting the use of asphalt mixes with RAR X, tire powder pre-mixed in asphalt, which improves resistance to wear and tear and plastic deformations of the mixture, increasing its duration and improving its performance.
