We've created a new company to offer green energy to industrial customers

Sacyr Green, in collaboration with Swiss firm Younergy, has created Sacyr Younergy, a company specializing in the generation of photovoltaic energy to offer green energy to industrial consumers in Spain and Portugal for a very competitive price.

“We focus on industrial customers to offer them a power purchase agreement (PPA) that is beneficial for the end-customer," explains Marco Sosa, General manager of Sacyr Green. “The key is that we are launching an attractive product for companies, that does not require from any formalities or investments on their part, they get to consume green energy and can save up significantly on their electricity bill from the outset,” he says.

A careful study of the customer's consumption curve is performed to give an estimate of the photovoltaic power required for self-consumption.

Younergy is a company specializing in energy power purchase and sale contracts, search for commercial solar energy opportunities, contracting, construction, facility operation and maintenance to maximize their performance.

Sacyr Green has ample experience in the construction of all types of renewable power supply plants, especially in photovoltaic plants.

Other photovoltaic installations

At our own facilities, we have recently built a photovoltaic plant in Chiloeches (Guadalajara) to generate more than 1,200,000 kWh per year to cover 20% of the facility's energy demand.

On the other hand, the new building we are developing at the 12 de Octubre Hospital in Madrid will have an energy production capacity of nearly 500,000 kWh per year by photovoltaic conversion.

To do this, it will have 756 400 Wp photovoltaic panels located on the roof, designed for a quicker and completely compact heat dissipation. This installation will be connected to the general low voltage panel so that it to self-consumes the power it generates.

We have also installed photovoltaic panels at the headquarters of Sacyr, and on the Eresma Highway, in Castilla y León, which will self-generate 22% of the energy consumption of this linear installation.

Sacyr Green aims to become a carbon footprint reduction global benchmark by betting on renewable energy, the circular economy and sustainable mobility options.
