Sacyr closes €170 million financing of RSC-287 roadway in Brazil

  • This infrastructure runs for 204 km in Rio Grande do Sul.
  • The road will serve over 1.1 residents across the influence area.

Sacyr Concesiones has completed the financing operation of the RSC-287 roadway (Brazil) for €170 million with the Brazilian Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social, with the bank guarantees of ICO and Santander.

This operation guarantees the required €430 million investment to develop this 204-km-long road project, a true milestone that consolidates Sacyr Concesiones’ activity in Brazil.

The P3 company Rota de Santa Maria (100% Sacyr Concesiones) will undertake the operation and maintenance, improvement and extension works on the RSC-287, that runs between Tabaí and Santa Maria, in Rio Grande do Sul.

This P3 project has a duration of 30 years and will provide an estimate backlog worth €4 billion for Sacyr Concesiones.

A significant connection

The RSC-287 is a significant transport connection between Tabaí and Santa María, which connects the BR 471 and BR 153 federal roads. The roadway has a high volume of daily average traffic and is one of the most transited in the state; it will serve over 1.18 million residents across the project’s influence area.

While Sacyr has other infrastructure development projects under construction in Brazil, the RSC-287 highway is Sacyr’s first P3 project in this country.
