Sacyr Engineering and Infrastructure undertakes the expansion of one of Madrid’s landmark hospitals under a contract valued at EUR 227 million with an execution period of 38 months.
One novel feature of the new building is its flexibility: rooms can be outfitted for single or double occupancy depending on care needs, and some are specially equipped to facilitate isolation, administer radiation treatment, or monitor patients, among other advantages.
The facility will also include 40 operating theaters and areas dedicated to major outpatient surgery, resuscitation, and intensive care, with 150 beds for adults, children, and newborns, among other critical facilities.
