As part of an international consortium, we designed, built, and currently operate two seawater desalination plants in Tlemcen Honaine and Skikda. The Teclem Honaine desalination plant is capable of producing 200,000 cubic meters of desalinated water a day. Construction began in 2007, and the plant began operating in 2010. It will be run by the consortium until 2037. The Skikda plant can produce 100,000 cubic meters a day. Construction began in 2006, and it began operating in 2009. It will be operational until 2034. The process for both plants is divided into the following stages: pre-treatment using pressure filters, reverse osmosis, remineralization, sea water inlet. These two plants supply more than 1 million inhabitants.
