The Innovation area of Sacyr Engineering and Infrastructures, in collaboration with AI-TOP, is developing the project SHOTCRETE, consisting of building a prototype unit fitted with a scanner that allows for greater control on how thick the concrete layer projected onto the tunnel is.

Advantages include, cutting CO2, saving water, reducing the contamination of asphalt, and helping to preserve forests. In addition, each dose achieves better fiber distribution thanks to their smaller diameter and length.

The project is to be carried out in Guanajuato, Mexico, in collaboration with our local partner, Neotech Asphalt, a leading company in environmental solutions within the asphalt sector in Mexico.

The preparation of construction tender conditions and documents using materials with a low environmental impact has not only become a reality, but it gets a better score at tender bids or contract awards.

This is a new milestone for Sacyr, as this is the first time that the group manufactures construction elements for civil works. Never before had we produced this kind of material.
