Committed to the development of Chile

Chile is one of our home markets. It has been 25 years since we started our first project in this country and today, we are the first private infrastructure investor. This is the result of our commitment to the development of sustainable infrastructure that contributes to the progress of this country.

Our more than 6,000 employees in Chile are the protagonists of our growth there since 1996, when we secured our first contract to build and operate the Los Vilos – La Serena highway. In these 25 years we have amassed 18 P3s that improve the infrastructures that make the backbone of this country and improve the quality of life of Chilean people.

Sustainability and innovation guide us in all our projects, in which we have invested close to US$ 6,500 million through our three business divisions. Some of our most important endeavors are the construction, operation and management of two hospitals, two airports and 14 P3 highways, that amount to more than 1,700 km of roads.

Exemplar hospitals

Regarding hospital infrastructure, we have developed seven hospitals, that add up to more than 2,600 beds and approximately 600,000 m2 of surface. Some of the most important are the Antofagasta and Buin-Paine Hospitals, both under a P3 scheme, as well as the construction of the Alto Hospicio, Biprovincial Quillota-Petorca, Villarrica, Sótero del Río and Cordillera hospitals.

Since 2020, Sacyr Concesiones Agua provides innovative solutions for the water sector with the operation of four total water cycle management companies in the Metropolitana and Antofagasta regions, that provide service to more than 150,000 people.

The largest urban project in Latin America

One of the most outstanding challenges in Chile is the construction of the urban highway Américo Vespucio Oriente (AVO I) in Santiago. With an investment greater than US$ 900 million, this highway crosses six comunas and extends for 9 kilometers with a great engineering work that includes tunnels and viaducts.
