We have installed 30 panels on the layout of 'Autovía del Eresma', on top of the 140 solar panels installed at Sacyr's headquarters, which will generate over 85,000 kWh of energy per year, we have opted for this resource on the roads we manage on the 'Autovía del Eresma', which runs between Valladolid and Segovia.
The impact of installing these panels is not just environmental, as it will also allow us to save on the electricity bill, by consuming our own renewable energy. We have installed 30 panels at Autovía del Eresma's operation center, which will generate an output of over 19,000 kWh, reducing the equivalent to 5,000 kg of CO2eq annually and self-generating 22% of the energy consumption for this installation.
The 2021-2025 Sacyr Sustainable Action Plan, which includes our sustainability guidelines and our roadmap to the future, includes energy management as a core foundation for the sustainable development of our activities. In this regard, we develop measures that allow us to use the least energy resources possible, reducing the environmental impact and improving the performance of our activity.
From the Quality, Environment and Energy Department we ensure compliance with the environmental objectives set by Sacyr, guaranteeing quality, minimizing impacts, and anticipating future risks. With the implementation of initiatives such as these installations, we seek to be part of the change we want to see by investing in a sustainable future.
