Selected for the Ruta 78 (Santiago - San Antonio) tender in Chile

We will invest $US 892 million in improving this highway, crucial for transport between Santiago and the Port of San Antonio

Sacyr Concesiones has been selected for the tender of the Santiago - San Antonio Highway Second P3 project, Ruta 78, which includes the improvement of the current road that connects Santiago with San Antonio, after the Ministry of Public Works opened the technical and economic bids.

The project, with an investment of US$ 892 million (€ 791 million) for a maximum variable term of 32 years, considers an extension of 132.8 km and will benefit a population of approximately 1.7 million people per year. It is a fundamental axis for cargo transport between Santiago and the Port of San Antonio and for the urban areas developed in the vicinity of its route.

Better safety

This P3 includes the improvement, construction, operation and maintenance of the pre-existing and new construction works of the highway. Some of the works are the improvement of several sections of the highway, the widening of traffic circles, the construction of new ramps to the ports, the full renovation of Manuel Rodriguez Bridge and new junctions, all with the aim of improving safety and reducing travel times.
