After more than two years working for Sacyr in Peru, Joseph tells us about his professional development in our young talent program. Joseph Colan is part of the first graduating class of the Talentya Program in Peru. He joined Sacyr through this program in 2019 and currently works in the area of Costs and Budgets for the Via Evitamiento de Chimbote project.
We are involved in emblematic projects
Some of the most emblematic projects in Peru in the last four years carry our signature. At the moment, we are concluding the second runway of Jorge Chávez International Airport and are about to begin the construction works of the new terminal for the expansion of this airport in Lima, which will make it into one of the most important hubs in Latin America.
In the mining industry, one of the major drivers of the Peruvian economy, Sacyr participates in the construction of the Quellaveco mine, hand in hand with Anglo American, one of the largest mining companies in the world, that is making an investment of more than US$ 8,000 million in Peru.
These two join another great project from 2019: the construction of the two central locations of the Panamerican and Para-panamerican games of Lima 2019 and the expansion of a refinery in La Pampilla for Repsol.

We consolidate our position in Peru
We have developed more than 20 engineering, infrastructure and industrial projects in Peru. We are currently a leading company in road conservation, with more than 2,200 km of roads. We operate the Longitudinal de la Sierra, Tramo 2, a 875-km P3 project of national interest, that will generate a sizeable positive impact on this region’s economy.
We also contribute to improving air quality, producing cleaner fuel and the training of thousands of people in road safety, hygiene, health, and environmental protection.
