The Rutas del Este project, which consists of five sections, inches closer to full completion every day. We recently opened 23.7 kilometers of roadway to traffic, while reconditioning of the old route continues.
In addition, the 2.6-kilometer subsection 5.3 (part of section 5) is complete and awaiting approval to begin operating. Once obtained, both roads will open 100% to bidirectional traffic.
This stretch, which runs from km 180.4 to km 183 in Caaguazú, widens PY 02, one of the country’s most important corridors.
